Maruti Suzuki will unveil their small car Alto 800 in Algeria in March 2013 during the 2013 Algerian Motor Show, which is scheduled to be held in March 2013.

Alto 800 made its way into Indian markets in October 2012, with a
starting price of INR 2.44 lakhs. This made the car an instant hit. New
Alto 800 order books registered over 50,000 bookings within 2 months.This updated version of Maruti Suzuki Alto measures 3.3 meters in length and 1.4 meters in width and offers plenty of head and leg room which has been enhanced due to addition of a scooped out front seat design. Maruti Alto 800 is fitted with a petrol engine of 796 cc offering 48 bhp power and 72 Nm torque. AEGIndia reports, Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 will enter Algeria this year, after it is displayed at the 2013 Algeria Motor Show. Maruti Suzuki is concentrating on African markets as against European markets. Demand for smaller and more compact cars are greater in Africa and the company has received good response to their Alto and Maruti 800 from these markets. Setting up of a new assembly plant is also scheduled for Africa from where the company will be able to produce these cars, at an even competitive pricing.
