Karbonn Mobiles has announced India’s first quad-core budget smartphone, Smart Titanium 1.

NEW DELHI: Karbonn Mobiles has announced India's first quad-core budget smartphone, Smart Titanium 1. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and will retail at Rs 10,990 in the country. With this device, Karbonn has beaten Micromax for the distinction of having the first low-cost smartphone with a quad-core processor, since the latter's Canvas HD is scheduled to hit the shelves next month.

The latest entrant in Karbonn's portfolio, Smart Titanium 1 features a 4.5-inch IPS display with 960x540p resolution. This smartphone runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with Adreno 203 GPU. It packs 1GB of RAM and comes with 4GB internal storage and microSD card support.

The all-new Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 has a 5MP camera with flash on the back and a shooter with VGA resolution on the front panel. It is powered by a 1,600mAh battery and has connectivity features like Wi-Fi, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth and microUSB. The device also has dual-sim functionality.
