Lenovo launches 5 Android smartphones in India, starting at Rs 6,499

Mumbai
: Leading personal computer maker Lenovo announced its foray into the smartphone market in India with the launch of five Android-based smartphones.
The company has launched five models at a price ranging from Rs 6,499 going up to Rs 28,499. According to Tech2.com , the devices are Lenovo A60+, Lenovo S880, Lenovo P700i, Lenovo K860, and Lenovo S560.
Key features of the devices are as follows:

Lenovo has introduced 5-inch IPS panel display bearing K860 which houses a quad-core Samsung Exynos mobile processor and runs Android 4.0 ICS version.

Lenovo is one of the top four leading PC makers with diverse product line-up. Lately, Lenovo had introduced Google Android based tablets and continues to roll out great products in the PC and laptop segment. Citing the current scenario as the PC Plus era, the company chose India as the first country after China to launch five new smartphones that run Google Android OS based software.

First of all, Lenovo deserves a pat for daring to launch a line-up of five smartphones addressing different segments, demographics and respective set of users. However, it is surprising that the company has no brand name for its new product.
